I'm Back! Feat. karina__v ♡

Hey everyone!! It has honestly felt like forever since I have been able to sit down and write one of these. I have been extremely busy with my life lately and haven't had the time to write a proper blog! So what have I been doing with my life you might ask? You all probably know by now if you follow me on Instagram (@alexcentomo) or watch my YouTube videos (youtube.com/missAlexandraC) that I started working for Brandy Melville in the spring. It has been such an amazing experience and I love every second of it.

Now that school has started back I have a bit more time to focus on my blog and YouTube which means... yay new videos! I've really been loving the whole "OOTD" videos that have been super popular among the beauty gurus lately. They're super fun to film and I love that I get to show my own style.

I recently shot a video of one of our Brandy Babes, Karina. She fits the Brandy Melville status perfectly; feminine with an urban twist, young at heart, active, and chic in an effortless way. We get questions all the time about how she grows her hair that long, or how she styles it, so if you're interested let me know in the comments below and maybe I'll make a tutorial for you guys :)

Check out some of the pictures we took <3

All the clothes are from Brandy Melville, but I think they are perfect for fall!!

What's In My Shower?!

The other day I came across a series of videos on YouTube called the "What's in my shower tag". My first reaction to video tags is usually very confused, but I actually really enjoyed this one. I thought it was cool to be able to see what products people used in the shower and why they use them. It's a great way to find specific products that benefit you. For example, if you have very fine, straight hair that has no volume, and you watch someone who has a similar problem, you can see which products they find useful!

Now, I am definitely no dermatologist or hair dresser, so I don't really know what I'm talking about when it comes to hair/skin care. All I know is what works for me (by trial and error). I have thin, fine hair. It was very curly when I was little but now it's wavy/straight. I don't understand how it changed so much. I used to be so blonde that it looked white when I was younger, but as I got older it became a more dark blonde, mousy brown... so I dye my hair. I used to bleach it back in the day when that was cool, but once all my hair practically fell out I decided to stop doing that. In the winter I get low lights and in the summer I get highlights. The last 2 months I decided to go a subtle ombre which actually worked out really well because nobody can tell that my roots are growing in. It's great!

I have a dry scalp (ew) during the winter months so I had been on the hunt for a really moisturizing shampoo (but one that doesn't make my hair look greasy). I searched around the internet and found that Lush has a lot of really natural, organic products that work really well for skin/hair care. I decided to give it a go. Love, love, love! Their BIG shampoo is by far my favorite. It not only helps with my dry scalp problem, but it gives my hair crazy volume! Bumble&Bumble has also been a lifesaver. Their products are amazing. And of course I can't forget my love for Soap&Glory. The smell is to die for plus their products are extremely hydrating.

Check out my video where I go in to detail about the products I like to use.

Oh, and FYI, I shower daily but I only wash my hair every 3rd day. Washing your hair everyday is a no no :)

Everyday Makeup, Hair, & Outfits for Teenagers

Happy weekend everyone!
Yesterday I spent the day with my little cousin, Sofia. I thought it would be a fun idea to film a tutorial for an everyday look that was appropriate for a young teen to wear.

Here are some outfits:

Pretty Little Liars Makeup Tutorial: Hanna Marin

Hey everyone!
Today I decided to film a much requested makeup tutorial; a Pretty Little Liars inspired look! I absolutely love PLL so I couldn't wait to do this look. I decided to do Hanna because she's one of my favorite characters on the show and I always love how they do her makeup. The tutorial on how I did this look will be posted below :)

I decided to do my hair this way because of an episode I watched here:

If you have any questions and/or suggestions, let me know in the comments below. Who's your favorite PLL character? Who do you think 'A' is? Do you want me to recreate any other makeup looks/outfits ideas? Let me know!

4 Quick & Easy Hairstyles! ★

Hey everyone!
I hope you're all enjoying your week so far :)

After my Victoria's Secret Inspired hair tutorial here, I have been getting a lot of requests to do another hair tutorial. This time instead of showing you guys how I were to do these looks via pictures, I decided to film another video seeing as how many people enjoyed the first one.

I know it's back to school and work time for many right now, so I thought of a few hair styles that can be done between 2-10 minutes when you're in a rush in the morning. These are just some of my favorite ways to wear my hair when I have no time to style it. Plus, I love not having to use heat on my hair and damage it even further. The video to these looks will be inserted at the end :)

Half-up, half-down braided boho look

I have so many different ways of doing this look. Sometimes instead of using an elastic, I just clip my hair back and sometimes instead of having a middle part I do a side part. It's all up to how you want to re-create it for your personal style.

Twisted side braid

This one is something I decided to do as a dupe for the fishtail braid. I know that for many people, the fishtail can take them a lot of time. This is just a quicker way but equally as nice!

Low twisted bun

This style honestly takes one minute. It's so simple but so pretty. I wear this almost on a daily basis.

Upside down french braided sock bun

This is by far my favorite look. I love how it looks like a normal sock bun, but when you turn around there's a french braid. I like to wear my braid loose but it's up to you how tight you want it :)

*UPDATE*
This is how I did the look on my friends hair :)

Thank you guys for continuing to support me!!
Love you!

Victoria's Secret Inspired Hair

I don't think it's possible for me to count the amount of times people ask me how I style my hair. I find it even more amusing to see their reactions when I tell them I use a straightener to get my curls. So today I decided to show you guys how I get my "Victoria's Secret" inspired hair look. It looks great on any hair type and all lengths. I used to rock it every day with my long hair, but ever since I got it cut I haven't tried it out because I thought it wouldn't look as good. Well, I was wrong. I've been really enjoying how it looks with my hair length at the moment. If I play around with it and tease it a little, it gives an edgier, rocker vibe. Plus, if ever I want long hair again I can just use extensions.

You will need:

-Straightener
-Hair brush
-Clips and hair ties to hold your hair in sections
-Heat Protectant
-Moroccan or Argan oil
-Smoothing cream

I purchased my ghd straightener in Australia and it is by far my favorite

Bumble and Bumble have such great hair products. This
is perfect for smoothing out my hair after styling.

Great heat protectant and leaves hair looking shiny
You spray it throughout your hair before you use any heat on it

This stuff smells amazing and lasts in your hair all day.
I rub it through my fingers and then spread it out evenly
on the ends of my hair.

How to curl with straightener:

Grab a section of hair with your straightener

Twist it once around the straightener

Pull down as if you were straightening your hair normally, while keeping the twist

That's it! I clip my hair into three sections (bottom of my ears to the bottom of my scalp, then my crown to the bottom of my ears, and finally I finish with the top section of my head). I like to do one strand away from my face and then one strand towards my face so that the curls look more textured rather than all one way. The strands around my face I curl away, not towards so it gives a more "wind blown" look. Also, you can use hairspray to keep the curls in place, but I enjoy the feeling of non-crunchy hair, plus my curls hold all day long without any.

How it looks from the back

I keep the top section of my hair (near the roots) straight so the curls look more fallen

How it looked with my outfit for the day
I Hope you guys enjoyed this post!
Let me know if you tried it and how it worked out :)

**I will be dyeing my hair soon, so I'll do a whole blog about that experience!

More beauty, fashion, and everyday lifestyle posts to come :)

Alex
