Get Ready With Me! Bedtime Routine

Hey everyone!

I keep getting e-mails to do another GRWM (Get Ready With Me) video since I put up my first one. They're definitely a lot of fun to film so I was excited to get on it. I figured since I already did my morning routine, I would show you guys my bedtime routine. So basically all my makeup remover/skin care products.

I have been LOVING Aveeno products lately. They do wonders on my skin. I was always skeptical to apply a night cream because I thought it would clog my pores and add more blemishes to my face, but that's not the case! You just need to find the right night cream for you. I found that the Aveeno fresh essentials oil free night cream is great because it doesn't leave my skin oily, it doesn't clog my pores, it hydrates my skin, and it contains vitamins A, C, & E! I seriously wake up in the morning with ridiculously fresh skin.

Anyways, check out my video below and let me know if you want to see more GRWM videos :) I can do one for a night out, or an interview, or an event. :)

PS- I don't own any professional lighting so I apologize if the video quality is a little dark!

Effy Stonem Makeup Tutorial

Who here watches skins? And when I say skins I mean the British version (the American one sucked). It was definitely one of my favorite television series as a teenager, so I decided to re-watch it recently and have fallen in love all over. It's a show full of drugs, alcohol, sex, and a group of messed up adolescents who deal with a series of problems. Each episode follows one character from the group and tells their story. It's a very interesting show that I would definitely recommend to someone over the age of 18 haha. It's a mature show for sure.

In seasons 3 and 4 (there are only around 10 episodes per season) new characters are introduced. My favorite character by far is Effy Stonem. She's one of the main characters of season 3 and 4 (only appearing shortly in seasons 1 and 2). She's a very dark character and it's so interesting to see how she develops through the seasons. Not to mention she's stunningly beautiful.

I was inspired to recreate her makeup look after watching the show again. It's so different for me so I thought it would be kind of a challenge.

Effy keeps her face very nude and natural, but then her eyes have a super dark look to them. Very Gothic.

If you're interested in a seriously effed up, complex story, then I would highly recommend this series. Plus, British accents are super sexy.

Check out my tutorial for her look below!

What's In My Shower?!

The other day I came across a series of videos on YouTube called the "What's in my shower tag". My first reaction to video tags is usually very confused, but I actually really enjoyed this one. I thought it was cool to be able to see what products people used in the shower and why they use them. It's a great way to find specific products that benefit you. For example, if you have very fine, straight hair that has no volume, and you watch someone who has a similar problem, you can see which products they find useful!

Now, I am definitely no dermatologist or hair dresser, so I don't really know what I'm talking about when it comes to hair/skin care. All I know is what works for me (by trial and error). I have thin, fine hair. It was very curly when I was little but now it's wavy/straight. I don't understand how it changed so much. I used to be so blonde that it looked white when I was younger, but as I got older it became a more dark blonde, mousy brown... so I dye my hair. I used to bleach it back in the day when that was cool, but once all my hair practically fell out I decided to stop doing that. In the winter I get low lights and in the summer I get highlights. The last 2 months I decided to go a subtle ombre which actually worked out really well because nobody can tell that my roots are growing in. It's great!

I have a dry scalp (ew) during the winter months so I had been on the hunt for a really moisturizing shampoo (but one that doesn't make my hair look greasy). I searched around the internet and found that Lush has a lot of really natural, organic products that work really well for skin/hair care. I decided to give it a go. Love, love, love! Their BIG shampoo is by far my favorite. It not only helps with my dry scalp problem, but it gives my hair crazy volume! Bumble&Bumble has also been a lifesaver. Their products are amazing. And of course I can't forget my love for Soap&Glory. The smell is to die for plus their products are extremely hydrating.

Check out my video where I go in to detail about the products I like to use.

Oh, and FYI, I shower daily but I only wash my hair every 3rd day. Washing your hair everyday is a no no :)

Thanks for reading!
